Biography
David Rakia was born in 1928 in Vienna (Austria) and immigrated with his family to Palestine in 1938. He participated in the War of Israel Independence and was severely wounded. He studied painting at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem (1953-1955) and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris (1955-1960). More than his 80 personal one man exhibitions took place from 1957 till 2008.
