Preparing to sell
Submit art items that are in your possession through our submission system, or send them by email to
with all their relevant information: dimensions, condition, technique etc.
After receiving the above information, you will be given a preliminary estimate for your item. The final estimation will be given after the examination of the item itself.
At this stage we will suggest a reserve price for the item, i.e. the minimum price for which you will agree to sell the item.
The item will be put on auction after signing the Seller declaration.
After the auction ends
After the auction ends, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that the item has been sold.
Items submitted for auction must be delivered to our office at the seller expense at the time agreed by both sides.
The buyer will be charged only after the item itself has arrived at our offices and was checked by our staff.
All logistical handling of the boxing and shipping are taken care by ArtDealer, at the buyer expense, unless the buyer specified otherwise.
Payment
The selling price, commission and other fees are in US dollars.
If the seller is an Israeli resident then the selling price and commission in US dollars will be converted into Israeli Shekels according to the "cash sale rate" published by one of the three Israeli banks (Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi, Bank Discount) and known on the day of payment.
If ArtDealer provided any services to the seller, their price will also be deduced from the selling price.
ArtDealer is responsible for the collection of the full payment for the sold item from a buyer on the behalf of a seller, and will transfer the payment to the seller (minus the auctions' commission plus VAT) during a maximum period of 10 working days after the buyer paid for the item.
The property will be released to the buyer only after he/she has transferred the whole sum for the bought item to ArtDealer.
Commissions
We generally charge a commission of 12%-20% from the selling price plus VAT (VAT is payed only on the commission, sellers residing outside of Israel are exempt from VAT) on this commission. The commission plus VAT will be deducted from the selling price.
No listing fee is charged for the items.

Disputes
If a buyer assumes that the acquired item (through eGallery) is not the work of the artist to whom it was attributed, then he/she can give a written notice to ArtDealer within the first three months from the date of the purchase. If ArtDealer accepts this claim, the full purchase price will be refunded to the buyer within thirty days, provided that the item has been returned to ArtDealer in the same conditions as it was sold. The buyer will have no further claims against ArtDealer in this matter. The seller of the item will be obliged to reimburse ArtDealer by the amount refunded to the buyer within thirty days and take his/her item back.
Important Notes:
ArtDealer reserves the right to withdraw an item from the auction at any time, to reopen and extend items for further selling, and to terminate a sale prior to the scheduled date at its sole discretion.
All art submissions are subject to approval or rejection in accordance with our user agreement.
The Court of Haifa, Israel will have exclusive jurisdiction in respect to any dispute that may arise from the sale.
